South Dakota High School Football - Alcester-Hudson nudges Centerville
August 29, 2025: Centerville, SD 57014 In Friday's league match, the visiting Alcester-Hudson Cubs football squad scored a close 26-21 triumph over the Centerville Tornadoes.
The Cubs (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD). The Eagles go into the Great Plains (9 Man) battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Irene/Wakonda was tipped by St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD), 52-0, in a non-league battle.
The Tornadoes now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Garretson for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Centerville will play a Blue Dragons team coming off a 35-24 non-league win over DeSmet (DeSmet, SD). The Blue Dragons record now stands at 1-1.
