The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) and the visiting Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC), saw Cox Mill's football team prevail over Rocky River by a final score of 35-20.

With the win, Cox Mill advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Chargers host Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to encounter the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Cuthbertson won 20-6 in their recent non-league bout against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)

The Ravens now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berry for a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. Rocky River will confront a Cardinals squad coming off a 54-7 non-league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-2.
