In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Pope John Paul II Knights.

The Hawks (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Beech (Hendersonville, TN). The Buccaneers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Beech beat Hendersonville (Hendersonville, TN), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Knights meet the St. Cecilia Academy Scarabs (Nashville, TN) in a D II-AA Middle challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Pope John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
