The Sahuarita Mustangs football squad scored 24 points and limited the visiting Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks to 14 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record.

With the defeat, Desert Sunrise drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden hawks host Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ) to meet the Spartans in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-0.
