North Carolina High School Football - Hickory triumphant over Bunker Hill

September 5, 2025: Hickory, NC 28601

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the visiting Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), witnessed Hickory's football team bounce Bunker Hill by a final score of 49-0.

With the win, Hickory advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Red Tornadoes travel to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC) to encounter the Red Devils in a Western Foothills 4A/5A bout on Friday, September 12. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Newton-Conover lost 49-21 in their recent league bout against East Lincoln (Denver, NC)

The Bears now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Maiden for a Western Foothills 4A/5A bout on Friday, September 12. Bunker Hill will encounter a Blue Devils team coming off a 54-36 league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-1.
