Mississippi High School Football - New Hope knocked off by Choctaw County

September 5, 2025: Columbus, MS 39702

In Friday's non-league game, the Choctaw County Chargers (Ackerman, MS) football team knocked off the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), by a margin of 35-24.

The Chargers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hernando for a non-league outing on Friday, September 12. Choctaw County will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 36-0 non-league win over Ridgeway (Memphis, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, New Hope drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA) to battle the Crusaders in a non-league game on Friday, September 19. The Crusaders enter the game with a record of 2-0.
