South Dakota High School Football - Winner tops Groton
September 5, 2025: Groton, SD 57445 The Winner Warriors football squad scored 36 points and restricted the host Groton Tigers to 22 in the Warriors non-league win on Friday.
In their next game, the Warriors face the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Winner will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Huskies go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 32-14 non-league win over Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD).
The Tigers (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Milbank (Milbank, SD). The Bulldogs go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Milbank lost by Tri-Valley (Colton, SD), 34-0, in a league challenge.
