In Friday's non-league match, the host Nelson County Governors football squad scored a good 33-20 triumph over the Stonewall Jackson Generals.

The Governors (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Cumberland (Cumberland, VA). The Dukes come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record.

Coming up next, the Generals confront the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12.
