In Monday's non-league battle, the host Wheeler Bearcats volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Kankakee Valley Kougars.

The Bearcats (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Kouts (Kouts, IN). The Mustangs & Fillies come into the non-league battle with a 14-6 record. In their last battle, Kouts lost by Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Kougars clash with the Munster Mustangs (Munster, IN) in a Northwest Crossroads battle, on Tuesday, September 12. Kankakee Valley will attempt to advance on its 13-6 season record.
