The Southmont Mounties held off the visiting Fountain Central Mustangs volleyball team by a margin of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Mounties now possess a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Cloverdale for a non-league outing on Monday, September 15. Southmont will confront a Clovers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Greencastle (Greencastle, IN). The Clovers record now stands at 1-7.

The Mustangs (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN). The Knights enter the non-league match with a 6-4 record. In their last match, Lafayette Central Catholic nipped Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN), 3-0, in a league bout.
