The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Conway Wampus Cats (Conway, AR) and the host Marion Patriots (Marion, AR), witnessed Conway's football squad knock off Marion by a tally of 19-0.

The Wampus Cats (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Little Rock Southwest (Little Rock, AR). The Gryphons go into the 7A Central bout with a 0-2 record.

The Patriots now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sylvan Hills for a 6A East bout on Friday, September 26. Marion will confront a Bears squad coming off a 50-0 non-league win over Russellville (Russellville, AR). The Bears record now stands at 3-0.
