September 17, 2021: Memphis, TN 38125 In Friday's league game, the Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) football team smashed the host Southwind Jaguars (Memphis, TN), by a final score of 55-0.
The Choctaws (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Munford (Munford, TN). The Cougars come into the 5A Region 8 game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Munford overwhelmed Overton (Memphis, TN), 48-6, in a league game.
The Jaguars now hold a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Memphis Central for a 5A Region 8 game on Friday, September 24. Southwind will battle a Warriors team coming off a 57-38 league win over Brighton (Brighton, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 4-0.
