September 19, 2025: Centerville, SD 57014 The St. Mary Cardinals football squad scored 30 points and limited the host Centerville Tornadoes to 21 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Iroquois/Lake Preston for a Dakota Valley (9 Man) test on Friday, September 26. St. Mary will meet a squad coming off a 44-0 non-league win over Sunshine Bible Academy (Miller, SD). The record now stands at 3-1.
With the defeat, Centerville drops to 2-2 on the year. The Tornadoes travel to Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD) to face the Eagles in a Great Plains (9 Man) challenge on Friday, September 26. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Irene/Wakonda lost 52-14 in their recent league challenge against Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD)
