In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Triton Central Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Shelbyville Golden Bears.

The Tigers (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Vernon (Fortville, IN). The Marauders enter the non-league challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Vernon was beaten by Westfield (Westfield, IN), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Bears face the Lawrence Central Bears (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 23. Shelbyville will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Bears go into the test with a 9-11 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, IN).
