The Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons football team (Parkersburg, IA), was tipped 27-20 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA)

The Wolverines (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Denver (Denver, IA). The Cyclones come into the 1A District 3 challenge with a 4-3 record.

The Falcons now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Springs for a 1A District 3 challenge on Friday, October 7. Aplington-Parkersburg will meet a Panthers team coming off a 46-21 league loss to South Hardin (Eldora, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.
