The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE) and the visiting Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE), saw Northwest's softball squad topple Gretna East by a score of 10-2.

With the triumph, Northwest improves its record to 20-2 on the year.

The Griffins now hold a 17-12 record. They play next when they travel to Standing Bear for a contest on Thursday, October 2. Gretna East will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to Norris (Firth, NE). The Grizzlies record now stands at 15-14.
