In Friday's non-league outing, the Maxwell Wildcats (Maxwell, NE) basketball squad felled the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE), by a margin of 48-40.

The Wildcats (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Overton (Overton, NE). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 8-3 record. In their last outing, Overton thwarted Amherst (Amherst, NE), 46-28, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Bridgeport for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 11. Hershey will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 77-42 non-league loss to Ogallala (Ogallala, NE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-2.
