Orono Riots (Orono, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), 68-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Orono upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Riots travel to Hermon (Hermon, ME) to play the Hawks in a B North bout on Friday, January 13. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 2-7. Hermon lost 69-39 in their recent league bout against Old Town (Old Town, ME)

Next up, the Trojans play the Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) in a bout, on Saturday, January 14. Mount Desert Island will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
