The Portage Mustangs topped the host Homer-Center Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 61-53 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) in a Heritage game, on Friday, January 12. Portage will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 8-5 record after their 62-59 league loss to Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA).

With the defeat, Homer-Center moves to 6-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Cambria Heights (Patton, PA) to face the Highlanders in a Heritage game on Friday, January 12.
