The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ) and the visiting Amphitheater Panthers (Tucson, AZ), observed Buena's basketball team overwhelm Amphitheater by a margin of 80-40.

The Colts (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Flowing Wells (Tucson, AZ). The Caballeros come into the 5A Southern challenge with a 2-12 record. In their last challenge, Flowing Wells was trounced by Cienega (Vail, AZ), 87-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Sahuarita Mustangs (Sahuarita, AZ) in a 4A Gila challenge, on Wednesday, January 15. Amphitheater will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 94-45 non-league loss to Cienega (Vail, AZ).
