The Mustangs now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Fox Tech for a 5A Region 4 District 27 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Jefferson will play a Buffaloes squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to O'Connor (Helotes, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, McCollum moves to 1-7 on the year. The Cowboys host Southside (San Antonio, TX) to play the Cardinals in a 5A Region 4 District 28 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Southside won 5-1 in their recent non-league bout against John F. Kennedy (San Antonio, TX)
