Sanger Indians (Sanger, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX), 50-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sanger upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Indians host Aubrey (Aubrey, TX) to play the Chaparrals in a 4A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, January 15. The Chaparrals come into the bout with a record of 8-6. Aubrey won 78-7 in their recent league bout against Gainesville (Gainesville, TX)
