In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Monroe Central Golden Bears basketball squad scored a nice 40-27 win over the Muncie Central Bearcats.

The Golden Bears (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against Wapahani (Selma, IN). The Raiders go into the Mid-Eastern outing with a 14-3 record.

The Bearcats now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Greenfield-Central for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 17.
