Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN), 70-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maple Grove upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Crimson travel to Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Totino-Grace won 77-75 in their recent non-league bout against Anoka (Anoka, MN)

Next up, the Elks play the Osseo Orioles (Osseo, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Elk River will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record.
