Fans at Friday's league challenge between the East Coweta Indians (Sharpsburg, GA) and the visiting Westlake Lions (Atlanta, GA), saw East Coweta's basketball squad hold off Westlake by a tally of 67-63.

With the victory, East Coweta improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Indians host Hampton (Hampton, GA) to play the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 5-10.

Coming up next, the Lions battle the Discovery Titans (Lawrenceville, GA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, January 14. Westlake will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Titans come into the battle with a 3-14 record after their 63-51 league loss to Berkmar (Lilburn, GA).
