January 13, 2024: South Point, OH 45680 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) and the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH), saw South Point's basketball squad wallop Wellston by a tally of 74-38.
With the victory, South Point improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Pointers host Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH) to confront the Panthers in a Ohio Valley challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 7-6.
Next up, the Golden Rockets confront the Eastern Eagles (Reedsville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Wellston will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 67-30 non-league loss to Alexander (Albany, OH).
