The Tanque Verde Hawks (Tucson, AZ) basketball were winner over the visiting Empire Ravens (Tucson, AZ), 79-71 in Tuesday's league test.

Next, the Hawks encounter the Andrada Polytechnic Mavericks (Tucson, AZ) in a 3A South test, on Friday, January 16. Tanque Verde will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Mavericks come into the test with a 1-14 record after their 62-36 non-league loss to Ray (Kearny, AZ).
