In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Maine Central Institute Huskies basketball team scored a close 34-33 triumph over the Winslow Black Raiders.

The Huskies (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Erskine Academy (South China, ME). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last match, Erskine Academy got by Waterville (Waterville, ME), 51-41, in a league match.

The Black Raiders now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterville for a non-league match on Saturday, January 17. Winslow will face a Panthers squad coming off a 70-32 non-league loss to Leavitt (Turner, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 1-10.
