Kansas High School Basketball - Herington holds off Centre

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Herington Railroaders (Herington, KS) and the visiting Centre Cougars (Lost Springs, KS), saw Herington's basketball squad hold off Centre by a tally of 37-33.

With the victory, Herington improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Railroaders travel to Peabody-Burns (Peabody, KS) to confront the Warriors in a Wheat State challenge on Friday, January 17. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Peabody-Burns lost 57-8 in their recent league challenge against Rural Vista [Hope/White City] (Hope, KS)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Little River Redskins (Little River, KS) in a Wheat State challenge, on Friday, January 17. Centre will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 37-21 league win over Canton-Galva (Canton, KS).
