The Midway Panthers topped the visiting DeSoto Eagles basketball team by a final score of 45-34 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Cedar Hill Longhorns (Cedar Hill, TX) in a 6A Region II District 11 game, on Tuesday, January 18. Midway will attempt to move on its 18-7 season record. The Longhorns enter the game with a 14-11 record after their 106-85 league loss to Duncanville (Duncanville, TX).
