The Shining Star Sports Academy Panthers basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Virginia Academy Patriots to 61 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winston-Salem Christian for a non-league contest on Sunday, January 15. Shining Star Sports Academy will meet a Lions team coming off a 50-47 non-league loss to Saint Gertrude (Richmond, VA). The Lions record now stands at 22-3.

The Patriots (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Winston-Salem Christian National (Winston-Salem, NC). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 22-2 record.
