Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), 71-58 in a league match.

With the victory, Central Cabarrus advances its record to 8-7 on the year. The Vikings host Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to face the Trojans in a 3A South Piedmont match on Friday, January 17. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 9-6. Northwest Cabarrus lost 67-46 in their recent league match against Carson (China Grove, NC)

The Spiders now own a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Rowan for a 3A South Piedmont match on Friday, January 17. Concord will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 80-52 non-league loss to North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-14.
