In Tuesday's league test, the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC), by a score of 74-28.

Next, the Mavericks encounter the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City test, on Friday, January 17. Mallard Creek will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 9-6 record after their 93-61 league win over West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC).
