Walter M. Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), 68-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Walter M. Williams upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to play the Blue Comets in a Mid-Piedmont 3A bout on Tuesday, January 19. The Blue Comets go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Asheboro lost 77-51 in their recent league bout against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 19. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Jets go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 38-34 league win over Trinity (Trinity, NC).
