Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades (Chambers, NE) and the host Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), saw Chambers/Wheeler Central's basketball squad wallop Boyd County by a tally of 65-41.

With the victory, Chambers/Wheeler Central improves its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Renegades travel to St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE) to confront the Cardinals in a D2 District 6 challenge on Saturday, January 16. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. St. Mary's lost 55-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE)
