Erskine Academy Eagles (South China, ME) backers went home thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team smash the host Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), 63-24 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Erskine Academy upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Eagles host Nokomis (Newport, ME) to face the Warriors in a B North match on Tuesday, January 20. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 0-12. Nokomis lost 58-35 in their recent league match against Lawrence (Fairfield, ME)

The Huskies now sport a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount View for a non-league match on Saturday, January 17. Maine Central Institute will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 72-51 non-league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-6.
