New Mexico High School Basketball - Mayfield routs Silver

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Mayfield Trojans basketball team scored a big 55-33 win over the Silver Fighting Colts.

The Trojans (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldawgs come into the 5A District 3 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Las Cruces smashed Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM), 48-21, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Fighting Colts battle the Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Silver will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record.
