Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), 63-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Pace upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Vikings host Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX) to play the Chargers in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 19-2. Veterans Memorial won 66-53 in their recent league bout against Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX)

In their next game, the Cowboys meet the Donna Redskins (Donna, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 match, on Tuesday, January 21. Porter will attempt to better on its 0-15 season record. The Redskins enter the match with a 16-10 record after their 66-43 league win over Valley View (Pharr, TX).
