Washington, DC High School Basketball - McKinley Tech nips School Without Walls
January 17, 2024: Washington, DC 20002 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the McKinley Tech Trainers (Washington, DC) and the visiting School Without Walls Penguins (Washington, DC), saw McKinley Tech's basketball squad hold off School Without Walls by a count of 40-38.
With the victory, McKinley Tech upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Trainers host Dunbar (Washington, DC) to play the Crimson Tide in a DCSAA challenge on Monday, January 22. The Crimson Tide come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Dunbar lost 74-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC)
Next up, the Penguins play the Roosevelt Roughriders (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA challenge, on Friday, January 19. School Without Walls will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Roughriders come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 55-23 league win over Ballou (Washington, DC).
