California High School Basketball - Thousand Oaks thwarts Newbury Park

January 17, 2025: Newbury Park, CA 91320

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Thousand Oaks Lancers (Thousand Oaks, CA) and the host Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA), observed Thousand Oaks's basketball team knock off Newbury Park by a score of 37-25.

The Lancers (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, CA). The Lions come into the Marmonte challenge with a 6-13 record. In their last challenge, Oaks Christian dropped by Westlake (Westlake Village, CA), 77-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Notre Dame (SO) Knights (Sherman Oaks, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Newbury Park will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 77-36 league loss to Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, CA).
