Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears (Atlanta, GA) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team thwart the visiting New Manchester Jaguar (Douglasville, GA), 51-34 in a non-league contest.

The Golden Bears (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hardaway (Columbus, GA). The Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Hardaway was toppled by Sumter County (Americus, GA), 56-52, in a league contest.

Next, the Jaguar face the Alexander Cougars (Douglasville, GA) in a AAAAA Region 5 outing, on Tuesday, January 20. New Manchester will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 14-4 record after their 58-44 non-league win over Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA).
