Kansas High School Basketball - Maize South crushes Shawnee Heights
January 18, 2021: Tecumseh, KS 66542 Maize South Mavericks (Wichita, KS) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS), 52-29 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Maize South upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Manhattan (Manhattan, KS) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 21. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 2-3. Manhattan won 61-53 in their recent non-league bout against McPherson (McPherson, KS)
Next up, the Thunderbirds play the McPherson Bullpups (McPherson, KS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 21. Shawnee Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bullpups come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 61-53 non-league loss to Manhattan (Manhattan, KS).
