The Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX), 80-49 in Tuesday's league test.

The Sabercats (23-6) will now prepare for their test against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX). The Bears go into the 6A Region IV District 31 test with a 10-18 record. In their last test, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo walloped Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX), 74-35, in a league test.
