The Independence Patriots basketball team (Glendale, AZ), was overwhelmed 81-60 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Washington Rams (Phoenix, AZ)

The Rams now possess a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Willow Canyon for a 5A Central battle on Thursday, January 20. Washington will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 75-47 league win over West Point (Avondale, AZ). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-4.

The Patriots (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ). The Rattlers come into the 5A Central battle with a 17-4 record. In their last battle, North Canyon was overwhelmed by Centennial (Peoria, AZ), 58-44, in a non-league battle.
