Illinois High School Basketball - Eastland overwhelms Hinckley-Big Rock
January 18, 2025: Lanark, IL 61046 The Eastland Cougars basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Hinckley-Big Rock Royals to 21 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now have a 17-2 record. They play next when they host Rockford Christian for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Eastland will confront a Royal Lions team coming off a 90-51 non-league win over St. Bede (Peru, IL). The Royal Lions record now stands at 15-0.
With the loss, Hinckley-Big Rock falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL) to confront the Skyhawks in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Skyhawks go into the game with a record of 7-8. Johnsburg won 68-45 in their recent league match against Marengo (Marengo, IL)
