Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Central Bears (Brooksville, FL) and the visiting Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL), saw Central's basketball squad knock off Hernando by a tally of 58-49.

With the victory, Central improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL) to play the Hornets in a 4A District 9 challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Weeki Wachee lost 63-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Citrus (Inverness, FL)
