North Carolina High School Basketball - North Wilkes edges Forbush

January 19, 2024: East Bend, NC 27018

The North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball nipped the host Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), 43-40 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (13-3) will now prepare for their test against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds go into the 2A Foothills test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, North Surry got by Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 61-45, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wilkes Central for a 2A Foothills test on Tuesday, January 23. Forbush will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 45-35 non-league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-12.
