In Friday's non-league test, the Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Walden Grove Red Wolves (Sahuarita, AZ), by a score of 60-49.

Next, the Marauders encounter the Lee Williams Volunteers (Kingman, AZ) in a 4A Grand Canyon test, on Tuesday, January 6. Mingus will attempt to advance on its 7-4 season record. The Volunteers enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 82-39 league loss to Coconino (Flagstaff, AZ).
