Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Morgan Eagles (Morgan, TX), 50-9 in a league bout.

With the victory, Meridian upgrades its record to 9-16 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Walnut Springs (Walnut Springs, TX) to play the Hornets in a 1A Region III District 20 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 3-6.
