Biggersville Lions (Corinth, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Thrasher Rebels (Booneville, MS), 12-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Biggersville upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season. The Lions host Corinth (Corinth, MS) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 22. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Corinth lost 74-37 in their recent league bout against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS)

Next up, the Rebels play the Jumpertown Cardinals (Booneville, MS) in a 1A Region 1 bout, on Friday, January 28. Thrasher will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record.
